Rijk Zwaan Korea is a new subsidiary to be established in the Rijk Zwaan Group. Today we have a team of three colleagues in Korea who serve the market in Korea. They visit our clients and support them in growing their fruits and vegetables.. Our plan is to establish a new subsidiary in Korea to strengthen our commercial activities. The company will be led by a board of two Managing Directors who are jointly responsible for the entire operation. Each Managing Director has his or her own attention fields. Within this role you will be responsible for sales and marketing, including (digital) marketing communication, client services, supply chain. Our Korean team is currently consisting of three sales colleagues with extensive knowledge about the Korean vegetable seed business. With support from the Rijk Zwaan head office in The Netherlands and our globally operating crop teams, you will develop client-centric business strategies and tactics to grasp the opportunities in the dynamic vegetable seed market in Korea and hence will ensure sustainable growth for the company. In addition, you will be responsible for:

Making a five year development plan, including sales targets, investments and cost development, together with your co-Managing Directors on a yearly basis
Jointly leading the whole company with one other managing director
Reporting to the Business Managers Asia

Your Contribution:

We expect that you have extensive experience in the agricultural sector and a broad interest in all aspects of managing a company including fostering the unique Rijk Zwaan company culture, managing financial risks and legal compliance. You have an open personality, good communication skills, you are trustworthy and open to receive feedback and you can build bridges between people. You enjoy and are good at building a motivated and happy team. We are looking for a hands-on, inspirational leader, someone who is both people- and result-oriented. We are seeking a good leader and organizer with an international outlook and global mindset, someone with an active and practical approach, positive thinking and attitude, orientated towards persevering and problem solving.

An academic degree preferably in the agricultural area
More than 5 to 10 years managerial experience in an international environment
Good understanding of agriculture, within the seed industry would be a bonus
Strategic insights for commercial and company development
