Selection Coordinator Tomato

What does your job as Selection Co-ordinator Tomato at Rijk Zwaan look like?

Within the Tomato Breeding department, we develop new varieties. As a Selection Coordinator, you will co-ordinate planning and logistical activities for the Tomato Breeding department and carry out activities that are supportive to the breeding process, within the standards of the breeding departments, to have the breeding processes run in a most optimal manner and providing support towards this goal.

Additionally, you are responsible for:

• Co-ordinating the logistical activities with regard to delivery to production and shipments
• Watching over the legal status of the incoming and outgoing breeding material
• Communicating the year/week planning to relevant stakeholders
• Giving administrative support to the selection team
• Signal bottlenecks and initiate improvements in the internal processes, suggest adjustments
• If and when needed, supporting the team in the field with green activities

Your contribution:

You like to work both in the office and greenhouse. You have good planning and organising skills. You are a good team player and communicator, able to maintain the contacts in our local and international organisation. You are able to take initiative in solving problems. You have structured thinking, accurate, able to follow the processes and keep the focus. You have a positive attitude and eager to provide support to the team. 

You will also have the following on your CV:

• A BS degree in Agricultural Engineering
• Relevant working experience in horticulture
• You have good command of speaking and writing in English and Turkish
• A current driving licence
