Technical Sales & Account Manager – Greenhouse   

  • Technical support, customer service, and sales in the Region for the greenhouse business of Rijk Zwaan.
  • Develops and implements sales programs to increase sales and procure long term turnover goals for our key clients.
  • Develops and sustains strong, ethical, and personable relationships with key customers; address needs and establishes effective and innovative solutions for our clients.
  • Collaborates with Crop Specialists and Crop Teams with follow-up and account management activities. 

Based in Ontario, with travel to USA, and occasional travel to Europe. 

Your contribution

The Technical Sales & Account Manager should meet the following criteria:

  • Ideal candidate will have an Ag business degree with up to 5 years of work experience within an Agribusiness or AgriScience environment.  Experience within the vegetable seed business is highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated track record of experience in proactively assessing, clarifying, and validating crop & customer needs on an ongoing basis.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to translate data into information used to drive decision making.
  • Proficient with organizational skills along with the ability to plan, organize, execute, and monitor changes according to our client’s organizational goals and objectives.
  • Qualified candidates will have exceptional interpersonal and communications skills to build relationships at the business management level and establish credibility through competence. Also must be able to effectively develop and present proposals, ideas, concepts, and reports.
  • Possess (or be willing to develop) a high degree of familiarity with the territories, markets, dealers and direct customer base.
  • Must have a collaborative nature with both internal and external stakeholders to include communicating across diverse cultures and inspiring trust at all levels.
  • Have an action and metrics driven proactive nature that clients and colleagues respect and enjoy working with.
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
